Center of Ancient Chinese Astronomy Set Up

The Center of Ancient Chinese astronomy, a joint research center supported by National Astronomy Observatory of China, Institute for the History of Natural Science, and Beijing Museum of Astronomy, was established on October 24, 2008. The inauguration ceremony was foundation ceremony was held at the National Astronomy Observatory, followed by a symposium on History of Astronomy in which about 60 scholars participated.
Prof. Sun Xiaochun was nominated Director of the Center, Dr. Ning Xiaoyu the secretary.
