• International Assessment of the Institute Will Be Carried Out in October, 2013

   On October 17-19, 2013, CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) will invite internationally recognized experts in the field of history of science and technology from the United States, Germany, France, Korea and Japan to carry out a three-day, “One-Three-Five” diagnostic evaluation of the Institute.

  The so-called “One-Three-Five” means One Positioning, Three Major Breakthroughs, and Five Key Potential Directions. CAS has developed a major research outcome-oriented evaluation system, and calls for expert diagnostic assessment for institutes every 5 years. The experts are expected to communicate with director and research staffs of the Institute, and assess the position, status, and core competitiveness of the Institute, and help the Institute enhance the creativity and originality of their work so as to build a solid foundation for major innovative contributions in the future.
