On 31 October 2019 in Beijing, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by IHNS, CAS and JBNU to promote scientific cooperation and exchange between China and Korea.

Both directors, Prof. Zhang Baichun of the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Shin Dongwon of the Korean Research Institute of Science, Technology and Civilization, JBNU, have signed the memorandum at the signing ceremony. The two sides agree to establish joint collaboration especially in research on the ancient history of science, to promote exchanges of scholars, and to organize annual workshops.
